WHY WOULD YOU DO AN ADVENTURE RACE?

You might;

Go for a jog, get bitten by a dog and die;

Pedal along a beautiful country lane, get hit by a car and die;;

Lose your grip on a free climb, fall and die

Make a bad move in a class five rapid, get caught in a hydraulic and die;

Strap on a pack, go hiking in the woods, get mauled by a bear and die;

Do a header over the bars on a technical singletrack, break your neck and die;;

Try to top your personal best on a trail run, get bitten by a snake and die

Bushwack cross-country, lose your way and die;

OR

Lay on the sofa, eat potato chips, drink soda, get fat and DIE!

ADVENTURE RACE AND LIVE!

With sincere regret I have to announce that the Western Carolina Adventure Race (WCAR) has been cancelled.  Unfortunately, the number of registrations necessary to produce a quality KanDo event, like our racers have become accustom, and we pride ourselves on creating, did not reach the necessary level, we have, with much disappointment, decided not to move forward with this year’s WCAR.  

We have always prided ourselves on the fact that we remain a grassroots organization giving the racers what they want - a fun, quality race with some returns of satisfaction and we commit to continue to do just that with the most successful and loved Savannah River/Augusta Canal AR and the Palmetto Swamp Fox AR.  We will however, look at possibly rescheduling or reclassifying the WCAR but for now, it’s chow for the Western.

As for those who registered, we will either refund your registration fee or apply that amount to one of our other races.  Simply email me and let me know which you prefer.

Thank you to those who support KanDo Adventures and our events, we really appreciate your encouragement and we hope not to disappoint any of you like this again.
